They are buried in the family Cemetery of their plantation known as Carrollsburg Manor in Adams County, PA. Their graves wewre later removed to the Cemetery of Emmettsburg Presbyterian Church of Emmettsburg, Maryland. They came to Philadelphia in 1730 and stayed there until 1732 when William Cochran, in conjunction with two other men, bought 5000 acres of land from Barrister Carroll. THis land was, at the time, in Fredrick County, Maryland but when the permanent lines were drawn between Pennsylvania and Maryland, it lay in what was then Lancaster County and is now Adams County, Pennsylvania. WIlliam and Sarah Cochran had 10 childred, three of whom died when they were young of the plague.

buried at some time at the Presbyterian Cemetery north of Emmitsburg, MD
This could be just north of the Dason/Dixon Line, I'm not sure and when
I can travel some day on my own I'll go check it out. They married in
Ireland in 1725 and arrived in America before 1732, leaving their
youngest sonWilliam with family in Ireland while they made purchase with others
of the plantation of Carrolsburg Manor from a relative of one Lord
Baltimore. They took control of some five thousand (5000) acres of the
more than ten thousand (10,000) acres of land with the original plot.
This was in the family until the family descendants needed money and
were forced to settle by selling the property and split up the monies.
Their youngest son William, b 1728 in Carikeel, Londonderry, Ulster,
Ireland and left there to be educated and to marry one Elizabeth Booth
about 1745, than emigrating (abt. 1750) with his wife the Chester Co.,
PA with family that were the lines of "Deaf" and "Honest" Robert
Cochran, staying only a short time and moving on to take over the to day
to day operation of Carrolsburg Manor as his folks were getting on in
years. As the crow flies this is about one (1) hundred miles which today
would only take maybe if you are slow two (2) hours to be there, Just
think that what it must have been like to set out across the area with
out direct roads in those days. He ran the manor after his fathers death
in 1771 until at which time the family wanted their cash out of the
family and he sold it in 1794 and took his family to an area outside
Aberdeen, Brown, southern OH where he took two thousand (2000) acres of
land through the War program of "Bounty Land" this was how one got paid
