John married Elizabeth Carlisle Semple, daughter of John Semple and Elizabeth Carlisle (Carlyle). Elizabeth was born about 1497 in Fulwood, Rentfrew, Scotland and died in Fernois, Rentfrew, Scotland.

   18 F    i. Janet Cochran was born in 1525 in Paisley, Rentfrewshire, Scotland.

+ 19 M    ii. William Cochrane was born in 1527 in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland and died on 14 Jul 1603 in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland at age 76.

+ 20 M    iii. John Cochran was born in 1529 in Fernois, Renfrew, Scotland and died in 1556 in Fernois, Renfrew, Scotland at age 27.
