Admin Minutes - 2/14/12

-Tom opened with prayer at 7:00

 

-  Reviewed our 2011 financial status.  Determined we would give a hard copy to all elders at session and email it to the congregation to save a few trees as it is 26 pages long.
-Finalized annual budget.  We will have a copy for each elder at session.  The budget numbers are what were approved by the moderators at their budget meeting in January.  We will have copies for the congregation at the annual meeting.

- Norm's pay package for 2012 was reviewed.  Minor changes were made and it is ready for session approval before it goes to the congregation for approval.
-Discussed moving the financial part of the annual meeting so that it would be held in the sanctuary right after Norm’s terms of call are approved.  Admin thinks this is a good idea so that the congregation can better hear and any questions can be answered without having to fight kitchen noise.
- Discussed the problems with the office copier.  Codes will be changed at the end of the month to ensure we know who is using the copier.  We have had multiple repair costs because paper jams are being cleared incorrectly thereby causing broken parts.
- Tom is in contact with the State regarding the 5 years we're behind on filing our PRC reports.  Tom has a handle on it and will keep us posted.
-Discussed requesting that the Foundation return the $30,216 from Children’s Gardens  rent that was transferred to the foundation back to the church.  Items that the money could be used for would include:

Carpet in the fellowship area

Installing a cross in front of the church

Improving lighting & signage

 

Action Items:

1 - Move financial portion of annual meeting to sanctuary

2 – Approve budget

3 – Approve Norm’s terms of call

4 – Request $30,216 be returned from the Foundation for Church improvements
