Administration Ministry Team Minutes

September 11, 2012

Members Present: Gene Christiansen, Mel Parish, Don Behnke, Winnie Quinzi

Excused: Austin Breck

Mel Parish opened the meeting with prayer.

Finances and Budget

John Grant presented information regarding the budget and projections for the rest of 2012. Cash will be very limited toward the end of the year, as budgeted amounts are larger than estimated income. This is due to lack of income since the Children’s Garden is no longer using our facilities, and also a downward trend in pledging.

It was recommended that the Children’s Garden Rental Fund be moved to the General Fund. Gene Christensen made a motion, seconded by Don Behnke, to ask the session to move the CGRF into the General Fund.

Stewardship

The stewardship campaign was discussed and will be planned during the months of September and October.

Committee Responsibilities/Job Descriptions

A list of Administration Committee Responsibilities has been sent to Rev. Story, and personnel job descriptions are almost completed.

Utility Bills

Don suggested that we request a usage audit by El Paso Electric to explore more efficient and less costly heating, cooling, and power use. Mel made the motion to contact El Paso Electric and ask for the usage audit, seconded by Don Behnke.

New Business

Gene reported that Rev. Story has requested 40 new folding chairs. Don will look into cost estimates for the chairs.
