MINUTES OF MEETING
BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS TEAM MINISTRY
August 10, 2010
Members Present were:
Charlie Yaryan, Bill Brady, Jerry Grandle, Ralph Miller and Bob Paul (Mbr.
at Large). Members excused were Austin Breck and Deborah Austin.
Old Business
·
The budget
was reviewed and found to be quite well on target.
·
The lawn
watering situation was reviewed which included a committee inspection of the
quadrangle. It was decided that the watering schedule might need tweaking.
Bill will contact the Singletree to work out needs including heads
adjustments and perhaps an enhanced schedule. The quadrangle will be opened
prior the start of Salt and Light.
·
Garage
status: A wooden frame for the new garage door was completed, thanks to
Charlie, Jerry and others. The new door and parts have been ordered and are
expected in about a week. We should be able to garage the new bus safely in
a couple of weeks. Electrical wiring will be installed in about two weeks
under Jerry’s direction.
New Business
·
It was noted
that the sign in front on the church for our Hispanic Ministry (Iglesia Del
Pueblo) was no longer legible. Bob Paul volunteered fix it.
·
The committee
was asked to approve Mike’s vacation dates request.
Mike requested to be off from Mon. September 6, through Saturday
Sept. 11. Note that Salt & Light starts Sept. 8 this year. Could we have
other groups set up for themselves most of the time? Then maybe have Eddie
set up for Salt & Light on the evening of the 8th, maybe with
volunteer help? Also see if Eddie can add some hours elsewhere if needed.
Need to get input from
Linda and Norm. Then the committee should give Mike a timely answer, say
within a week.
·
The committee
requested copies of all B&G job descriptions. Bob Paul will see if Linda can
send us the approved job descriptions on file as well later drafts.
·
Jerry Grandle
led the closing Prayer.
The meeting was
adjourned at 7:35 PM.
Respectfully submitted
by Robert H. Paul
