 Budget Report:

A Transaction report was generated for Salt and Light.  Transaction report is viewed like a checkbook register.  Memo section of transaction report is to use line item numbers for better tracking of monies for making future decisions.  Michelle is requesting that all Salt & Light and programming receipts go through her so she can manage the budget in order to make fiscal decisions with current information. The youth ministry funds are going to be done in the same manner.

Sunday School and Church School:

During the summer, preschool and elementary Sunday school classes will be separate instead of having a multiage Sunday school class.  Adult class numbers are staying consistent. The CE team continues to help clean and restore the preschooler Sunday school room before daycare on Monday. CE received a Thank you correspondence from Judith Ames.

Youth:

The youth held a successful car wash despite the rain.  The 30-Hour Famine was also a success with the youth getting sponsors for the mission.  Will did a great job talking about the Famine mission in church.  Mark has organized volunteers to help with the Las Cruces High School AP Testing during May 2 through May 12th.  Mark is following up with a movie night on Wednesday 19th to invite the youth to celebrate the end of AP Testing.

The mid and high school youth continue to meet Wednesdays with parents volunteering to bring dinner.  The lessons are continuing to critically think about music and movie culture and challenging the youth to look at this culture from a biblical view.

VBS (Vacation Bible School):

VBS will be taking place June 14-18.  The theme will be “County Fair” from Gospel Light.  The planning stages are underway.  Volunteers are needed for a variety of activities and the registration process is getting finalized.  Decorations were also discussed as to the type, the making and setting up.  VBS will encourage the youth to participate in a mission project during the week.
