A Transaction report for VBS is staying within budget. Supplies purchased will stay within VBS budget transaction reports. S&L has seed monies for promotion and basic necessities for Fall Semester. CE will be purchasing Bibles for youth to hand out in church. Looking into members personally donating to cost of a bible for an individual youth to fulfill our mission each child having a bible.
Sunday School and Church School:
During the summer, preschool and elementary Sunday school
classes will be separate instead of having a multiage
Sunday school class. Susan Grandle is continuing to cultivate and
assist teacher volunteers. The
Elementary group is growing in numbers. Carole Goss is wonderfully handling the
Pre-kinder Sunday school children. Adult class numbers are staying consistent.
Blaine Goss’ class took two weeks off. Currently, they are meeting throughout
the summer with no further interruptions. Dick Dale’s class has taken the summer
off and will continue sometime in August.
The mid and high school youth continue to meet Wednesdays with parents volunteering to bring dinner. The lessons are continuing to critically think about music and movie culture and challenging the youth to look at this culture from a biblical view.
Mark attended several graduations and continues to build relationships with the youth and families. During June the youth are having “Move Up“ parties. The Move-Up party for incoming 6th graders to Mid-high is June 11 and the Move-Up party for incoming 9th graders to High school is June 26. Students are encouraged to come and be welcomed into the group. The youth will also be helping with VBS during the week of June 14 – 18. The two youth mission trips are during the month of July. The HS mission trip to Cortez, Co. is during the week of July 4 – 9 and the MS mission trip to Austin, TX. Is during the week of July 24-30. Both trips are work camps. Mark continues to cultivate volunteer help for Wednesday nights due to a growing youth ministry.

Discipleship
Project:
Celebration for the accomplishments of the participation of the Discipleship Project will be August 8 during the Fellowship time after services.
Library:
Looking for an individual with library experience to help in the labeling process of media to the library.
Bibles to be handed out to the
youth during church services. One
of the missions of CE is for every child to have a bible with their name inside.
We are in need of more bibles.
We will be asking congregational members to donate the cost of a single
bible for and individual child. A
list of youth has been generated to be able to assess the number of bibles
needed. Working the with Worship
ministry team, a tentative date of Sept 26, 2010 has been made for handing out
bibles during the church service.
