Opening devotion – Martha read excerpts from “A Purpose Driven Life”

Review and approval of last meeting minutes- Approved by acclamation

           

Written Reports

            Salt and Light

                        100 registered children with 80± regular attendance

                        Tailgate Party set for April 11th

                        Spring Luncheon moved from April 1st to April 15th

            VBS

Proposal to have picnic for Fellowship hour on Sunday following VBS (April 15th

is approved with information needed for cost of food.

Sanctuary Display for VBS fundraising to be May 20th thru June 3rd

Curriculum has arrived along with a companion 13 wk summer curriculum

Youth

            Submitted as written – See Dates to Remember and Items for Session

            Sub Sale fundraiser net was a little more than $700 after costs.

Verbal Reports

Sunday School and Church School Classes

·     Implementation of sign-in/sign-out for Sunday School classes has been adjusted to 

      visual verification of adult supervision initialed by teacher or adult in charge.

·     Video during service feedback was all positive to continue the video.

Low cost sources for new DVD’s are being explored.

 

Adults

New adult class by Ann Velia is a success with 5- 10 regulars and several visitors.

                       

Adult video class taught by Blaine Goss continues to be popular with 25 to 30

members.

 

Old Business  

20311 – VBS $1000 (-$400)

20326a – Adult Retreats/Speakers $1100 (+$900)

20330 – Mid-School Trips/Retreats $1100 (-$900)

20332 – High School Trips/Retreats $1100 (-$900)

Net change = -$1300   Total Budget = $8700

 

New Business

·     Intern hours – Second Intern position to be filled for 10hrs/week at $7.50/hour

Net hours for both intern positions to remain between 15 – 20 hours per week

·     Policy on Child and Youth Safety has been re-distributed to committee for final critical

review before next meeting.  Concerns to be addressed through email exchange.

Safe Sanctuaries training is scheduled for May 6th
