Opening devotion  – 6:30 Martha “Point Your Kids to God”

Review and approval of last meeting minutes – Approved as written

 

Written Reports

            Vacation Bible School

o   Shirts are ordered awaiting proof on the artwork - Paid

o   Leader Training June 3^rd after church

o   Celebration Picnic June 17^th (after church-CE has volunteered for Fellowship Hour that day, so the picnic will be that fellowship)

o   Spent approx. $1500 so far. Curriculum is paid, but still need to buy food.

o   Decorator and Craft leaders are needed

            Salt & Light-

                        Shirts are in planning for possible change and update to art work and color

Youth

·         Planning for activities after VBS

·         Leaders for MS and HS mission trips are confirmed

Verbal Reports

Sunday School and Church School Classes – Need communication with parents about importance of signing in and out children nursery through kinder by a responsible adult. Discussion that only the moderator of CE can dismiss the paid childcare workers if they are not needed.

Old Business

·         Policy on Child and Youth Safety, Session feedback – A few changes were made and a   final draft was approved to be presented to session for approval.  Martha will         make the changes and distribute the final draft to everyone.

·         Budget review – Things have stabilized with just a few line items needing attention

·         Additional childcare

o   Sunday May 20

o   Vacation towards end of June – We have someone until we find someone new

o   Second for Faith and Fellowship and video – Rotate among the committee members to fill in when needed
