CE Minutes December 10, 2013

November minutes were approved

Written Reports:

·        Youth:  Greg requested deposit check for the mission trip-Summer 2014 and will follow up with Jordan before he leaves on vacation.

·        Pancake breakfast fundraiser December 8^th  was a great turn out

·        FUZE – Wednesday December, 18^th 5:30pm  Christmas cookie decorating

·        Parent’s Morning out Dec 14 & 21  8am to noon. 

·        Luminarias  - Dec 24^th - 2pm.  Setup for Christmas Eve services.  (light for 7pm service)

o   Ernie and Scotty in charge of setting and cleaning up on Dec 25^th.

§  More adult volunteers would be great.  Youth to help.

o   Bags folded and in Game Room.  Will be purchasing candles and sand.

·        Donation from Music and Worship.  

·        Greg & Kelly out December 21 thru December 31

Verbal Reports:

·        Adult Sunday School – Archeological advent journey

·        Sunday school is doing good being taught by Scotty and Nancy.  Goal is for Scotty to do most of the teaching and Nancy as an alternate

 Old Business:

·        Put address labels on Advent books

·        Budget

·        CE Search

·        VBS 2014

·        Luminarias

New Business:

·        Start thinking of someone who may be interested in running VBS 2014 names will be discussed in January 2014 meeting

·        Baby to 4 years olds will start receiving ornaments or gifts as do children from Kids talk on Sunday’s.  Carol will be in charge of this.

·        Thanked Blaine for his year of commitment to CE.
