Minutes

Opening devotion was given by Anna Suggs.
We reviewed and approved last meeting minutes.
Written report for Youth by Greg. Summer FUZE
has begun with mid and high school from 5:30 – 7:30 on
Wednesdays. Greg & Kelly will have a parent meeting soon to
cover summer calendar and events.
Carol updated the team about Pre-K and Elementary
Sunday school. Curriculum from Gospel Light will be used for
the summer and will run for 10 weeks with 4 year olds
through 5th grade. Students transitioning
to middle school will do so on June 7th. In
the fall Carol will lead the 4 & 5 year old Sunday school
class, breaking off of the Elementary.
Nancy reported that Gracia Class is rotating off of
the Middle & High School Sunday school teaching team due to
other duties. Scott reported prior to the meeting that the
St. Jude’s project is going well and will be shipped in the
near future.
For the Adult Sunday school, Rev. Hicks will be taking the
summer off, hopefully, to resume in the fall. Blaine Goss
continues to teach a video class in the library.
The team discussed plans for VBS. Several volunteers
have stepped up to take part and more roles need to be
filled yet. Ideas were shared about how to promote VBS
within our community.
Susan, along with representatives from the Buildings
& Grounds team will meet with Debbi Caldwell, the lessee for
the new day care on Saturday to walk through the property in
anticipation of a June 1 opening date.
Norm reported that Gena Breck will lead a
communicants’ class, date yet to be determined.
No items for Session. Next meeting will be June 9,
2015.
