Christian Education Ministry Team Minutes

Sept. 8, 2015 7:00 PM – Jones Hall

 Present: Anna Suggs, Susan Carlson, Nancy Cowan,           Susan Grandle, Scott Burns, Greg Temple

      Opening devotion and prayer by Anna Suggs.

 Reviewed and approved of last meeting minutes and financials.

 Written Report for youth given by Greg Temple in advance.  FUZE activities concluded on Wednesday, September 2^nd.  Youth attended a viewing of the movie The War Room.  A Fall Retreat is planned to Lone Tree in Capitan, NM October 8-11 during the public schools’ Fall Break.  27 Youth and sponsors signed up so far. A list of 9 students interested in Communicants class has been provided to Gena Breck who has agreed to teach the class.

Youth Sunday School report given by Nancy.  No changes.  Discussed impact of Communicants class on attendance.  Also noted that students may show up after Faith and Fellowship.

 Elementary Sunday School teacher volunteers have been coordinated by Sue through the end of the school year. 

Bible Presentation Sunday will be held Sept. 13. Sue has inscribed, high-lighted, and bookmarked the Bibles for the 3^rd and 6^th graders. Scott will help Pastor Norm present. Lloyd Kirschenmann has agreed to take photos.

 Advent Devotion was discussed. CE will order the same devotion as last year to compliment the congregation created one. Pastor Norm will provide a template to help contributors put their thoughts together. 

 Next meeting will be held Oct. 13, 2015 with  devotion being given by Nancy Cowan.
