CONGREGATIONAL LIFE AND
OUTREACH
SUNDAY morning, July 22,
2012
A short called meeting was
held in Jones Hall for the purpose of delegating duties and setting a timeline
for the International Potluck to be held Sunday, July, 29, 2012 in Reeves Hall
from 5 – 7 PM.
1.
Set up will occur after
worship on the day of the dinner.
2.
Sun tea will be set
outside after worship.
3.
Nora will contact Mark
Hellman about obtaining a slide projector set-up w/ screen and 2 microphones for
David and Dorothy Klement.
4.
Nora will shop for
essentials needed for the dinner after perusing supplies.

Tablecloths

Name tags (?)
5.
Stephen and Bea will
supply orchaca (sp) (Mexican punch) and Stephen will supply African coffee.
6.
The tables will be
covered with existing church tablecloths and the globes from the previous
international dinner will serve as centerpieces.
7.
The serving table will
be covered with paper lined plastic and both sides will be used to self serve.
8.
Committee members will
each bring an international dish (as will congregational members) to serve 8-10
persons.
The slide show will run
during dinner with any remaining slides shown by David and Dorothy during their
presentation after dinner.
Bea Connor has agreed to be
responsible for the welcome bags.
The keys to the new closet will be distributed to Nora, Kathy, B&G and Linda in
the church office. Nora will move
supplies into the new closet in Reeves hallway.
Kathy Story will bring
popsicles in lieu of ice cream cups for the Blessing of the Backpack for Sunday
after worship fellowship on August 12, 2012.
