 Minutes 4/14/15

 

 Absent: Lon, Kathy, Stephen

 Opening prayer: thanks to Dutch

 1.      Hymn sing-April 26

a.       Josie will bring bread and tuna; Danielle pita bread (and gluten free option), hummus, and veg; Bea bread and fruit; Naomi and Alejandra dessert; Deb egg salad; Dutch desserts; Kathy and Stephen chicken/ham salad.

2.      Electronic Sign: tabled-not sure what progress has been made and if it is a worthy investment

3.      Nametags: some sides are feeling it more than others. The south side struggles.

a.       Suggestions: make another announcement in church explaining the reason why; look into purchasing/finding more card tables to ease the process for passing out bulletins and nametags; have ushers push them more; make nice signs to place with them explaining reason why.

4.      Pre-Mother’s Day Pampering event:

a.       May 9, 1-3 pm event, set up 10/11 ish.  (times approved)

b.      Approved cost of $240 for masseurs ($120 each) also suggested to ask Derek Merchant

c.       $75 for nails and $30 for  beauty/makeup

d.      Volunteers performing services will receive $10 gift card

e.       Sign for church and fliers

f.       In order to finalize this, it was suggested we move our meeting to Tuesday 5/5/15

5.      Cook Book- Deb would like to make this process more efficient by forming a separate committee.  A box will be made available in the Fellowship hall (sometime in May) and announcements will be made in church and the Bulletin.

a.       Deadline is set for September 2015

 

*Since the meeting emails have been exchanged regarding Mother’s Day/Grad Fellowship and cakes will be ordered, books are being double-checked
