FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (U.S.A.), LAS CRUCES, NM

CONGREGATIONAL ANNUAL MEETING

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2008

 

1. The Congregational Annual Meeting for the First Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.),

 Las Cruces, New Mexico called by the Session to:

a. Elect members of the Church to serve on the Nominating Committee for the current year (2008).

b. Review and vote on the terms of call for Reverend Norm Story

            convened at 11:35 AM on Sunday, February 10, 2008.

 

2. A quorum of the congregation was determined to be present.

 

3.   Reverend Story acting as moderator, opened the meeting with prayer followed with

      an explanation of the two objectives for the meeting.

 

4.  Nominations for the Church’s Nominating Committee for the year 2008 were requested 

           by the Moderator. Mr. Greg Temple, Mrs. Judith Ames, and Mr. Jim Parks were

           nominated with Mrs. Dorris Hamilton and Ms. Donna Farmer nominated as alternates.

          There were no further nominations and it was moved and seconded to elect them by

          acclamation which was done.

 

      6. Reverend Story and his wife Kathy excused themselves from the meeting and turned the

          meeting over to Mel Parish, past moderator of the Administration committee to present the

          Terms of Call for Reverend Story which were;

 

          Salary                                         $29,561.00

          Housing                                        20,000.00

          Social Security Offset                     6,956.00

                        Sub-Total                                             $56,517.00

          Reimbursable Items:

          Ministry Expenses                     $ 6,210.00

          Medical Deductible                      1,875.00

          Medical and Pension                     18,394.00

                        Sub-Total                                             $26,479.00

 

                        Total Package                                      $82,996.00

 

          Mr. Parish asked if there were questions or comments on the terms of call, and there

          being none, it was moved, seconded, and voted to accept them. He closed the meeting with

          prayer at 11:42 AM.
