FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (U.S.A.), LAS CRUCES, NM

 CONGREGATIONAL GATHERING

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2009

 

1. The Congregational Gathering for the First Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Las Cruces, NM called by the Session on February 22, 2009 to:
   1. Receive the Annual Report.
   2. Hear reports from the various Church committees on plans for next year and answer members questions on the Annual Report.
   3. Partake of a meal prepared by the youth of the Church

                  met in Watkins Hall.

2. Reverend Story acting as moderator, opened the meeting at12:07 PM. He explained the purpose of the meeting and explained how it would be conducted. It was noted that most members had received the Annual Report by e-mail but there were several hard copies available throughout the hall. The reports started with the Board of Deacons. During the presentation from the Session’s Administration Committee, a member asked about the availability of the Church’s financial information. The reply was this information currently appeared in a couple of places for review but the committee would examine some more options to see if it could be more readily available. A video of the various youth groups past years activities concluded the presentations.                                                                                                                  

3. Rev. Story thanked everyone for their participation and adjourned the meeting with prayer and benediction at 12:45 PM.
