FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (U.S.A.), LAS CRUCES, NM

CALLED CONGREGATIONAL MEETING

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2009

 

1. The Congregational Meeting for the First Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) called by the Session for November 15, 2009 to:
   1. Receive the report of the Nominating committee.
   2. Elect four members from the Church congregation to serve on the Nominating Committee 2009-2010

            met in the sanctuary immediately after Church service.

2. A quorum of the congregation was determined to be present.

3. Reverend Story acting as moderator opened the meeting at11:32 AM with prayer.

He explained the purpose of the meeting and asked Ms. Susan Grandle to present the list of Church Officer nominees. Before she did that she identified the current members of the nominating committee and thanked them for their service. Ms. Grandle named the following as nominees for the offices of deacons and elders:

Doris Silva (filling an unexpired term)

Sam Bartholomew (youth position)

            Class of 2011

Pat Felhauer (filling an unexpired term)

            Class of 2012

Theresa Armendariz

Debbie Austin

Bea Connor

David Medina

Mel Parish

Rusty Smith

                        Elders               Class of 2012

                                    Gene Christensen

                        `            Jerry Grandle

                                    Martha Mitchell

                                    Karen Kirschenmann

                                    Richard Paul

                                    Jim Parks

 

4.   There being no nominations from the floor, it was moved to elect the nominees by acclamation, which was seconded, and passed.

 5.  Nominees for the Church nominating committee were then requested. Four nominees were obtained and they were; Marsha Topley, Paul Deason, Dina Schroeder, and Doris Hamilton as an alternate. There being no further nominees, it was moved to elect them by acclamation which was seconded, and passed.

      6. Rev. Story thanked everyone for their participation and adjourned the meeting with prayer at 11:40 AM.
