Committee Reports:
Choir report:
David Klement said the choir would be doing music anthems from the
African American Tradition for the next two weeks. He is trying to
fill out the special music calendars with volunteers for this summer
when the choir is resting. The choir’s last week to sing is
5-20-12.
Bell Choir will be
retiring for the summer, after that date, as well.
Pulpit supply appears
to be filled for the next couple of months, with Rev. Carrol Blevins
filling in on May 27 & June 3 and Janet Loman filling in on July 1.
For Faith and Fellowship, Rev. Hawkins would preach on 6-2-12.
Liturgists are
scheduled for the next month.
Communion was served
to 200 on May 6th, and 24 at Faith and Fellowship on May 5th.
Next Communion is June 2nd and 3rd. In July,
the Church Communion date is has been scheduled for 7-8-12.
Faith and Fellowship
will continue Saturday evening services all summer. Ideas were
discussed about how to increase attendance for Faith and Fellowship,
including 1. mailing campaigns, 2. targeted flyers or mailings to the
college neighborhood off University Ave in the Stanford, Yale area,
accompanied with a dinner invitation in the fall, and 3. Have the
praise and worship band get a spot and play at the Saturday Market on
the downtown mall, with info/invitation flyers handed out.
A data projector has
been purchased, strictly for use and to be kept in the Sanctuary.
A 2nd data projector will be purchased by Christian Education
for use in the auxiliary buildings & classes.

adjourned by Lloyd Kirschenmann with prayer at 7:37 PM.
