Call to order at 7PM by President Bill Lindeman

March 2010 were motioned for acceptance by Jose Briones and 2^nd by Cathy Short. The minutes were approved as posted.

Treasurer report and assignor’s report was given by Gary Manley. He asked that referees please check the posted ref assignments so that games are not missed, noting that sometimes changes will be made as late as Friday before Sat. games due to unexpected circumstances.

Bill Lindeman gave special recognition to several youth referees for their continued improvements on the field. They were Matt Sanchez, Nataly Herrera, and Sam Horst.

He also gave a special recognition plaque to Monty Wellborn for his 30 plus years of service to the LCSRA . Monty has retired from officiating and will certainly be missed.

The Youth Referee of the Year Award for LCSRA was awarded to Daniel Rayos and to Alena Strnodva for their hard work and continuing improvements as soccer officials. Their names will be submitted to the NMSRA for candidacy as our LCSRA nomination for the New Mexico Youth Referee of the Year.

HNSL report requests that referees be vigilante at checking player pass cards, time wasting, and proper game length. The City Cup will be May 1 & 2. Please submit your availability to Gary for assignments to this tournament.

MVSL has checks for those referees that worked games durin the past month.

High School officials were reminded to submit their registration forms to NMAA by

May 1, 2010 to avoid late fees for the upcoming Fall 2010 season. Organizational meetings would be held in August.

New Business: Nigel Holman invited eligible soccer referees to apply for the Kevin Riedel Scholarship noting that these funds would be awarded to graduating high school seniors and college students who were soccer referees.

Training was given by Nigel Holman with emphasis on the USSF 2009 Training Directives for fouls above the shoulders. Highlights from the MLS week in review were offered for viewing and discussion.

Gary Manley reminded that membership dues were due for the 2010 year.
