Las Cruces Soccer Referee Association General Meeting

Call to Order at 7:00 p.m. _
No approval of the Minutes for the General Meeting in June was made.
Treasure Report- Gary Manley report that no checks were issued the past month.
High Noon Soccer League Report: - Rick Hendricks had nothing to report.
Mesilla Valley Soccer League Report: - Bill Lindeman requesting for ARs for Friday’s Men Over 30 games. Any disputes regarding payment contact Kathy White. Summer season is over. Playoff start on Sunday.
Assignor - Andy Bristol reported that the season starts on September 9th. Conflict sheets are due before August 30th.
State District Referee Administrator Remarks- Gary Manley reported the State Referee Clinic for Grades 8 and 9 is this Saturday. Sunday’s clinic is for Instructors and Assessors. Clinic to upgrade from a 9 to an 8 is August 26th. Clinics to be held in Alamogordo on 8/19 and Deming on 9/2 for new referees.
Monty reported he is looking at the youth referees for the Youth Referee of the Year award. Anyone interested or if you would like to nominate a youth referee please contact Monty.
High School Referee Report: High School meeting to be held after the general meeting.
Old Business: Nothing to report
New Business: Nothing to report.
Training was conducted by Rick Hendricks. Rick indicated that the following rules should be reenforced.
Coaches need to have a Coaches’ card in order to be on the sideline with their team, that includes assistant coaches.
Teams and parents on different sides.
Rick indicated that not all passcards will be ready when the season starts, but require a roster and allow play with an official roster, if anything changes, an e-mail will be sent out.
Rick also indicated that any problems that occur during a game, state only the facts on the Game report, but do a supplemental report to Gary Manley, who will forward it to all the required parties.
Fill out Game report fully and accurately. Always print a Game report for your records.
Rick also announced that HNSL has purchased a lightening detector. It is not operating yet, but when in operation, if you hear the siren go off, please leave the field immediately.
The film on "Guide to Procedures for Asst Referees" was shown.
