President Bill Lindemann called the meeting to order at 7PM.  The minutes from the July meeting was motioned for approval by Doug Savard and seconded by Tom Duttle.  The motion carried.  The secretary noted that 27 members were present for the meeting.

 

Gary Manley stated that the treasurer’s report was basically the same as last month since there weren’t any soccer games played and no referee fees paid out, the balances remain unchanged.

 

President Lindemann acknowledged that Gina Gomez and Robert Gage had worked games for the New Mexico Over 40 Soccer Tournament recently held in Ruidoso,NM.  He also noted that Bill Lindemann, Gary Manley, Tom Duttle, Robert Gage, and Nigel Holman recently attended the State Referee Clinic in Albuquerque, and that Nigel Holman had worked as the head referee on the men’s city championship game here in Las Cruces,NM.

 

Gary Manley gave his assignor’s report reminding referees that a conflict sheet needed to be submitted prior to the start of the High Noon Soccer League.  The season would begin on the second weekend in September.

 

No report was given representing the MVSL (adult league).

The District Referee Administrator Gary Manley reported that a referee clinic for recertification would be announced soon, and that dues needed to be paid by those member referees who still owed.

 

Robert Gage reminded the high school referees that the season would begin Aug. 17, and that the High School District Soccer Clinic would be Sunday, Aug.15, 2010, from 3pm-5pm there at NMSU in the same room as the general meeting.

 

Nigel Holman conducted the training which focused on injured players and proper procedures.
