Gina Martinez reported that the Mark Underwood Tournament would be held the second week of February for adult men and women in Las Cruces. Lindemann asked that games be 45 minutes halves so that referees can be formally assessed.

Gloria de Leon took over the meeting to run the election.

While the ballots were being counted Lindemann entertained training questions:

Holman mentioned asktheref.com and another site sponsored by USSF. Lindemann reported on his recent experience in Tempe with national referees. He noted that he was advised by a national referee that at U19 it was more appropriate to card rather than calm both players down before a drop ball.

There was a general discussion regarding need for training for coaches; Willman noted that Linda Lara will focus on this for the U6and U8 levels.

Lindemann stated that training may be split by experience in future, so that there would be skill-appropriate discussions.

The general membership thanks Robert Gage for his outstanding service as president for 2002.
