Las Cruces Soccer Referee Association General Meeting

Call to Order at 7:01 PM

Approval of the Minutes for the General Meeting of November, 2006, was motioned by Joe Fleming and second by Brook Milligan.

Treasure Report: Gary Manley stated he had nothing to report.

High Noon Soccer League Report: - was passed.

Mesilla Valley Soccer League Report: - Sunday last day of the season. New season starts last week in January. Bill Lindaman volunteered to look into the pay for referees in Albuquerque and how they compare to Las Cruces.

Assignor - Andy Bristol reported the Rush Club was having a friendly tournament here on Jan. 13th and senior referees, Grades 8 and 7 were needed. If interested let Andy know.

State District Referee Administrator Remarks- Gary Manley announced that if a referee has not re-certified he/she may attend the clinic for Grade 9 referees, also an instruction clinic to beheld in Deming on Jan 27 for Grade 9.

Assessors Remarks: Monty Wellborn had nothing to report.

High School Referee Report: No High School meeting; nothing to report.

Old Business: Election of new officers was held. Nominations were as follows:

President - Pat Switzer

Luis Rocha and Jose Diosdado declined their nomination.

Vice-President - Andy Bristol

Secretary - Gloria Marquez

Treasurer - Gary Manley

Director Instruction - Nigel Holman

Director of Assessment - Monty Wellborn and Robert Gage

Monty Wellborn won.

Youth Representatives - Kyle Willman and Andres Cardoza

Andres Cardoza won.

Joe Fleming made motion by acclamation to accept the slate of office except for the position of Director of Assessment and Youth Representative. Seconded by Elliott Willman.

President Pat Switzer emphasized how important it is to do Game Reports within 72 hours. The Game Report is needed by HNSL. If not done, Assignor will not schedule that referee for any additional games until report is done. No show will continue to be penalized and may need to come before the Board to explain.

New Business: State youth Referees were nominated: Seth Gilpin and Magen Milligan.

Drawing: Winner was Zach Ochoa.
