Las Cruces Soccer Referee Association General Meeting
 

Location: NMSU Gerald Thomas Hall, Rm. 200
Date: June 12, 2013

Call to order at 7:00 PM . Robert Gage agreed to keep the minutes of the meeting because the secretary was not present.

May minutes were not motioned for acceptance because they had not been posted.
Treasurer report: Only 12 people have paid their membership dues thus far. Bank balances of the association were announced. Motion was made and seconded to accept the treasurer report, and the motion carried.

The MVSL report by Lindemann stated that the adult was over. The men’s championship game had been officiated by Tom Scott, Juan Castillo, and Bill Lindemann with Las Cruces FC winning the match. Several youth referees were recognized by Bill as progressing due to working the men and women’s games. Jose Villanueva had been invited to work the regional tournament in Hawaii, and Armando Torres had worked the center position on the NM State championship match for U13 boys.
Ryan Reynolds was present and recognized as a former youth referee of the year, and numerous accomplishments throughout his college career both as a referee and as a student. Upon graduation he has returned to Las Cruces hoping to work at NMSU.

Tom Duttle reported there were several referee clinics in the near future in Albuquerque.
A referee assessor had observed many referees at the local NM State playoff games and offered several positive remarks, as well as several points that need improvement.

No report for high school officials.

No old business to discuss.

Congratulations to Matt Horst having been selected to receive the Kevin Riedel Scholarship for the upcoming year.

Training was presented by Bill Lindemann.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:15PM.
