Las Cruces Soccer Referee Association General Meeting

Call to Order at 7:00 PM

 

Approval of the Minutes for the General Meeting of February 8, 2006, was motioned by Bill Lindeman and second by Gina Gomez.

 

Treasure Report was submitted by Gary Manley.

 

High Noon Soccer League Report was submitted by Rick Hendricks.   Reemphasized that transfers should have cards and all cards should be laminated.  A letter from Eric will be provided when players don’t have a card.   Also reminder that volunteers are need for the planting of the trees and that some games may be relocated.  Be flexible with the teams that are moved.  

 

Mesilla Valley Soccer League Report:   - nothing to report.

 

Assignor - Andy Bristol conducted training for referees that do adult games overview of the laws for MVSL games.   Other referees will go to another room for different training.

Andy stated that all adult games should start on time.  If not ready by 7:10 (example) forfeit game.

 

 

State District Referee Administrator Remarks- nothing to report.

 

Assessors Remarks:   Robert Gage reported about the Association honoring a youth male and female referee.   The youth referee nomination is for referee of the year conducted in December.

 

High School Referee Report: No High School meeting; nothing to report.

 

Old Business: Inquired if any new referees present that had pre-registered were entitled to a set of new cards.

 

New Business: Tom Duttle and Bill Lindeman attended the Assessor’s Meeting and spoke reference to the No Tolerance Policy and indicated that every referee will be looked at.  Assessors will be hired to cover the whole state.  Emphasis on the younger referees.
