Stuffed Artichokes
Easy to make, high fat, just what the doctor ordered.
You gets some artichokes.
Boil 'em up and then scoop out the fuzz from the center. Give it to the chickens.
Set 'em in a rectangular cake pan.
Put in stuffing made with:
- whole wheat bread
- onions
- mushrooms
- celery
- garlic
- etc. etc.
Put the stuffing inside and then jam more down in between the leaves.
Melt a lot of butter -- I've used a therapeutic dose of one stick per artichoke/person but a maintenance dose is somewhat smaller.
Put a bunch of herbs and garlic in it. Pour on the butter.
Put the whole thing in the oven for a while.
