BOARD OF DEACONS

 The Board of Deacons works to aid the sick and needy of the congregation and the local community, and its members help serve the congregation in its worship services. The communion offerings, gifts designated to the Deacons and their special projects, and one-half of the loose change offerings provide the funds for our benevolences and associated expenses.

 Our services and responsibilities to the congregation include ushering, greeting those arriving at the worship services, providing transportation to service for those who need it, visiting the sick and homebound, providing flowers to hospital patients, providing family aid in emergencies, and serving on Session committees. Within the community, we focus on emergency assistance to the needy through both contributions to worthy charitable organizations and occasional assistance directly to the individuals.
