Buildings & Grounds Committee Minutes
April 14, 2015
Present: Dennis Thomas, Rusty Smith, and Barb Sauter
The Christian Education Ministry team referred the need for a
sign for the daycare to the Buildings and Grounds committee.
Dennis called the City Community Development Department to
ensure city requirements were met. The city employee
suggested a temporary A-Frame sign that can be placed out in the
morning and taken in at the end of the day. A hinged
plywood sign no more than 16 square feet in size is anticipated,
but who will build it has not been determined.
The B&G moderator has been called on to come to the church on
short notice to deal with issues such as a pilot light needing
to be relit, a water tank leaking, and no water in the kitchen.
In addition, the B&G committee has been asked to take on
responsibility for the two rental properties
Rusty Smith volunteered to be called for emergency fixes at the
church. He will request a church key from Linda.
There is still a significant need for
more volunteers to assist with B&G issues.
Meeting attendance is not mandatory if someone is able and
willing to assist with maintenance issues but prefers not to
attend meetings.
Storage and excess seating sale/disposal issues were discussed,
with no decisions made.
The meeting was closed in prayer.
