1.
Soup and games retrospective: Positive: Served about 80
people. Sample bowls were a great idea. Soup and games is an
easy-to-pull off and fun event. Future enhancements: Set
aside a large game table in the center of the room. Buy a new
game. Have a vegetarian option. Ask people to bring
desserts. Use heavier duty plates.
2.
Review 2015 Calendar: Made additions and adjustments
as reflected in the table above.
3.
Budget: We spent approximately 2/3 of our budget
this year, largely because a designated gift for outreach took
significant pressure off of the outreach portion of the budget. We
have spent almost half of the outreach designation. We expect to
increase our advertising and outreach budget in 2015. The non
outreach areas should be about the same.
4.
Other new business, outreach ideas: The CLOS team
voted to adopt a new combined outreach/local ministry project.
Plan is to produce an FPC cookbook, then sell it at the Farmer’s market,
with benefits going toward a local charity (to be chosen in conjunction
with the deacons). The timeline is approximately this: 1) Jan and
Feb: solicit recipes and build up congregational support 2) March: edit
3) April: print 4) May: Sell the cookbooks.
