Minutes of April 10, 2012

The meeting was opened with prayer at 7:02 p.m.

 PRESENT: Moderator Richard Paul, Blaine Goss, Alex Burr, Kate Puckett, Mike Bartholomew,

Jean O’Neill, Rusty Smith, Jacqui Jones

 Approval of Minutes – The minutes for the March meeting were approved.

 Old Business

1. Alex Burr updated us on the progress of mission book which was progressing on the updating the missions.

NEW BUSINESS

a.       I let the committee know we have the April 29 after worship fellowship duties.

b.      Blaine Goss gave a report on Gospel Rescue Mission.  The mission is thinking of allowing a limited use day area for some of the people to stay at during the day. As of now the people who use the mission have to leave the mission during the day.

c.       Cathy Fern representing a local group setting up a faith base re-entry house for women in Las Cruces. This group is working with A Perfect Habitation who has established this type of program in Albuquerque. The local group just wanted to inform our committee of their plains at this time and let us know of their existence in the community.   

 The meeting was closed with prayer at 8:00 p.m.
