MISSION COMMITTEE MINUTES

APRIL 8, 2014

 

Members present: Jacqui Jones, Mike Bartholomew, Alex Burr, Blaine Goss, Collette Walz

 Absent: Jean O‘Neill 

Opening prayer was given by Blaine Goss at 7:05 p.m.

 Minutes of March 11, 2014 were approved as written

 Correspondence was passed to each member and discussed.  Relevant information will be displayed on the Missions bulletin board in the hallway of Jones Hall. Remainder will be distributed or disposed of. 

 Financial Report:  Any discrepancies in the Missions financial reports will be discussed between Alex Burr and the bookkeeper

  At budget time, the Loman ministry for the students at NMSU will be discussed

 Old Business:  Articles to the Lantern, Alex said that he would appreciate new articles from the committee members on “What does the Missions Committee do and who would like to belong to the committee?”

 New Business:  Linda is inserting pamphlets into the bulletin regarding Minute for Mission - One Great Hour of Sharing.    Blaine will give a short OGHS Minute for Missions on Palm Sunday.

 Linda has requested a list of the Missionaries we support so that she can include one of them on the prayer list each time the bulletin is written.  Alex will give Linda this list.
