One of those related after-followings, a special issue of the Keeney Update, March 1987, includes a preface which numbers the generations beginning in America.  The first ancestor mentioned in that preface is unnumbered, so it received a negative 1 numbering here until I changed my numbering system as follows: my own generation was arbitrarily assigned the number 28, with 27 being that of my parents, 29 my children, and so on.
