Big Rock Casino opened in Espanola in 2001, and has an attached  bowling center.   The casino is in a small strip shopping center in the heart of Espanola. There was much controversy between the Santa Clara Pueblo and the City of Espanola, when the Pueblo decided to pursue the venture. Evidently, all issues were resolved.  I really can't say much about the casino. It's small,  has  several table games, and several hundred slot machines. And there is a big rock in the parking lot.  Just a few miles down the road is the  more impressive and more established Ohkay Casino & Resort.
