I have always enjoyed the Ohkay Casino, even when it was a small unappealing structure. At that time, the casino used a unique bi-metallic $0.50 slot token, and offered quarter roulette. The place had a charm all its own. Times have changed! Several years ago, the Pueblo tied in with Best Western to open the new Ohkay. It did away with the $0.50 token and quarter roulette, but is still one of my favorite casinos. It has the usual mix of slot machines and table games, and has a good buffet. Located north of Espanola, it is adjacent to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Although Big Rock Casino is down the road in the heart of Espanola, Ohkay Casino is the place to go. If you're in or around Santa Fe, take the opportunity to cruise up Hwy 385, and stop by. Remember, along the way is the Cities of Gold Casino and Camel Rock Casino.
