The casino is located in Farmington, which is a couple hours drive from Albuquerque.  As with all of the racetrack casinos, it is slots/video games only. I like this casino. It is small and friendly, and  had a good but-not-to-big crowd
Although Farmington is somewhat isolated in the Four Corners area,  the resort city of Durango CO is only about 40 miles away. Additionally, the Bisti Wilderness is about 30 miles south. (A REALLY eerie place). For the casino hopper, there are two other casinos close by (more-or-less)  The Sky Ute Casino in Ignacio is on the way to Durango, and the Apache Nugget is about 50 miles east of Farmington, on Hwy 550.  Although I wouldn't recommend going to Farmington just for the Sunray Casino,  spending a day or so visiting the area (and the casinos) is a worthwhile diversion.
