Painted - Upper Intake Manifold (Plenum), Airbrushed Radiator Crossmember, and Painted Rear Mudflaps

We are now ready to have several items in the engine bay painted - Upper Intake Manifold (Plenum), and 5 support braces; Upper Air Intake Tube (clear coat only); and Radiator Crossmember. We also decided to have the Rear Mudflaps painted to match the car and some graphics painted on the Air Patrol

Some of the parts ready for the paint shop (we also are having the rear mud flaps painted)

Hot Rod Dreams painted all the items except the radiator crossmember and air patrol. We were surprised how many different materials it takes to paint these items - Adhesion Promoter, Primer, Paint and then Clearcoat and then each requires a hardener. We decided that the plenum would look better without the lettering, so we had it completely sanded down so as to have a smooth appearance.

Luis Navarro of Xtreme Airbrush painted a panther scene on the radiator crossmember. In addition, he also airbrushed some graphics on the Air Patrol.

After getting all the items back from being painted, we then reinstalled them back in the engine bay. We were very happy with the final results (click on below pics for a larger view.)
