K5AM homebrew radio - RIT

       [RIT photo]

This remote RIT module is very convenient, especially for RTTY contests. On the transceiver panel is a five-position switch:
    RIT ± 200 Hz
    RIT ± 1000 Hz
    OFF
    FINE TUNE ± 1000 Hz
    FINE TUNE ± 200 Hz
The RIT positions are used for running, while the FINE TUNE positions are used for S&P. The 200 Hz positions are used for CW and RTTY, while the 1000 Hz positions are used for SSB. There is a RIT/FINE control on the panel, but when the remote module is plugged in, the circuit automatically switches to the remote. The remote module is built into an old computer mouse case, and has red and green LEDs to indicate mode.
