Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to provide an announcement update on the Family Reunion this
weekend.

Though we encountered some very unfortunate circumstances (details
will be provided near the end), the family still had an eventful and
exhausting good time.

First of all we want to thank all of you out-of-towners for coming to take
a part.   It was your lively spirits and smiling faces that made every
effort worthwhile.

Please forgive me if I over looked anyone but I just wanted to give the family
an idea of who attended the family function.

¨     Friday Day night's fish fry @ Leonard's kicked everything off
with a BANG!

¨     South Warren Elementary:

      Ø     On Saturday, the temperature was 100 degrees with a heat index
of about 106-110 so all of the outdoor activities became indoors
very quickly.

      Ø     Saturday Evening the program and banquet started an hour late
(I know, I know don’t say it) but once it started
            it was really nice and it was as follows;

      v     The inspirational praise dancers of Warrenton, NC

      v     The Mighty Gospel Inspirations of Durham, NC

      v     Perfect Vision of Raleigh, NC (Olympus Richardson aunt
Elizabeth’s son sings on this group)

      v     Presentations

            ü     2005 Enduring and Devoted Family Support awards went to
three people – Ruth Mae Roberts, Cora
                Lee Williams and Julia Boone

            ü     2005 Outstanding Contributor awards went to two people –
Nannie “Deloris” Williams and Notre Daine Williams

            ü     2005 Family Encourager and Networking went to – Samuel
Sneed Williams

            ü     2005 Family Inspirational Spiritual Leader went to –
Robert Edgar Williams

            ü     2005 Longest Married Couple went to – Myre and Jimmie
Sidberry 45 years of marriage

      v     The drawing prizes of $50, $25 and $20 dollars

      v     The play I wrote titled “The Channey’s, (Odessa’s Child)
(featuring the Spirits of Faith (Family Group) (Ronald
            Alston, Leisa Richardson, Roosevelt Alston, Derrick Alston and
Joyce Alston-Williams)

SPECIAL NOTE: Edgar was planning to fill-in for Notre Daine as the master
of ceremony but then the unfortunate circumstance occurred that I
previously mention.

Edgar, Patricia and Brittany were in a car accident Saturday afternoon.
I called Edgar looking for him but they were at the hospital then.
However, Brittany informed me know that he wasn’t available (as per Edgar)
she wouldn’t tell me where they were. Someone ran into them and totaled
their car but PRAISE BE TO GOD.   ALL of them are at home recovering.

(On a personal note; Edgar has been making spiritual uplifting efforts of
unity with all family members since he, Patricia and Brittany moved here in
2004. I am very proud to say they have brought nothing but a loving spirit
of unity and blessed prayers for this entire family.   Prior to the family
reunion Edgar visited all the family members here to make sure they were
planning to attend (some of them a few times), He had also mentioned that
he was going to start weekly family Bible teaching next week. I personally
believe the accident was an attack launched by the enemy but GOD kept all
of them for us because they are what our family need.)

¨     Sunday:
Ø     Church Services and Other - Some attended Shocco; some other
churches, and some were still recuperating from Friday
      and Saturday.

Ø     Sunday evening and the family men cooked all the left over hamburgers
and hotdogs from Saturday at my house.

Ø     Family Meeting was held the completed financial reported will be
published in this September’s Newsletter.

Ø     Election of Officers were as follows:

v     The Food Committee chair resigned Susie Williams – Vera Richardson is our new Chair Head.

v     The Family Historians - Uncle Sam and Deloris Williams

v     The Time and Location chair remained, Leslie Richardson

v     The Activities Committee chair remained, Joyce Alston-Williams

v     The Family Treasurer remained Roosevelt Alston, Jr.

v     The Secretary remained, Janet Roberts

v     Family Parliamentarian (New) - Lewis Roberts (Janet’s Husband)

v     Family President (New) – Robert Leslie Williams (Sonny Boy)

v     The Family Newsletter was taken over by Janet Roberts. Next
publication September 2005.

The Family concluded that 2 days was long enough for all of us to be
together on a ship.

2 Day Cruise to Nowhere for Norfolk Virginia: Settled
Must pay $50.00 deposit per person before September 15, please forward to
family treasurer Roosevelt Alston, Jr. to be included on the group rate.

You will be invoiced and you will have until August 15th, 2006 to pay the
balance.

This is the cruise-line and cruise information but by sending the money into
the family treasurer you will get a discounted rate which will be
approximate $30.00 less per person for each room.

The Family Meeting Ended at 9:00 p.m.

AFTER TALK

Discussions were made about people considering next year.   We will provide
a list of all of the family members that have extra bedrooms to cut out
hotel accommodations for anyone that want to attend.   We want to encourage
more family involvement!

Do you know where our family members are?    All of Grandma Nannie and
Grandpa Roberts grandchildren, great grand children, niece, nephews great
nieces and nephews, etc…   We need more addresses in the family database.
Please send to me via email as you get them.   Thanks a bunch.

Okay, I know this was a mouth full but I just wanted to share this
information with you

P.S.   We also provided family survey and history forms to complete.   I
have attached the family history form and program that will be forwarded to
Deloris. Please completed and return.   I will have to send the survey
tomorrow because I don't have it with me now. May God continue to bless
you ALL.
