New 'Polish' Workshop featuring Norm-ski and Pat-ski

This is what the workshop looked like before the remodeling.

We have really enjoyed using the workshop since retiring. We remodeled the house and completely finished the interior of 'The Benz Den', so these tools have paid for themselves several times over. Now we have them to do a multitude of tasks around the house, including helping out friends and neighbors with small projects. Most of our projects have been joint efforts although Norm has most of the ideas while Pat does most of the measuring and cutting, and together we assemble the projects. Peaches plays a part in all this, too, mostly because she loves to chew up the scrapwood.

Recently (Mar '00) we were asked to help a neighbor build a speaker box and a support for an amplifier for his Porsche. It was a fun project since we had built something similar for our Porsche a few years ago. Not a lot of room to work with in the trunk area so it made it a little more of a challenge, but David had a great idea for the design and when it was all completed it looked and sounded great.

Okay, make sure the edges are lined up

Looks good, tighten the clamp
Plenty of glue, don't want it to come apart

It's getting there. We're doing good so far
