The G.I. Joe Navajo Code
Talker action figure represents the fascinating story of the unbreakable
code, based on the Navajo language, that was used by American forces in
the Pacific Theater during World War II. Lift G.I. Joe's arm (or push the
button in his back) to hear any of seven historically accurate phrases,
spoken first in Navajo, then in English translation. Phrases include (in
English): "hill 165 secured," "request mortar fire," and "attack by machine
gun." Standing 11.5 inches tall, this action figure is fully articulated,
with movable ankles, wrists, knees, elbows, hips, shoulders, and head,
so he can strike almost any pose. He comes in full camouflage attire: a
helmet, a shirt, pants, and shoes, plus dog tags, a web belt, a phone set,
a backpack radio, and an M-1 rifle. On the box are the seven radio messages
(in both languages) that Joe speaks, plus information about the Navajo
Code Talk. A knockout collectible for the action figure crowd, the figure
requires three A-76 button cell batteries, which are included.
