| This series features Mon-El
as an ageless, ethereal spectre, trapped in the Phantom Zone, but able
to be seen and to communicate with Superman from inside large glass cylinders
located throughout the Fortress.
As an inhabitant of the Phantom
Zone, the vast distances of space have no meaning to Mon-El. He can
travel to the worlds of the farthest star in a blink of an eye, enabling
him to be Superman's eyes an ears across the earth and throughout the known
universe.
We also see Superman's tireless
efforts to free Mon-El from from his shadowy prison-- he's never forgotten
his promise to find a cure for the young Daxamite he once called his "older
brother." |
