Just as Space Ghost is the
1960's Batman in space, Mightor is a prehistoric version of Lee & Kirby's
Thor. In fact, that's exactly what I thought when I was a kid, trying
to figure out how my Saturday morning cartoons fit with my Marvel comics.
Tor was given the magic club containing the power of Mightor when he and
his pet dinosaur, Tog, rescued a mysterious old man. |
|
In putting together this
proposal, I'm suggesting that Mightor and the Herculoids share the same
planet, if not the same feature. The comics are set in a the far
future, when the people of the Earth had traveled out to neighboring stars,
encountering new worlds, new life-forms, and new civilizations, some friendly
or benign, some not so friendly. |
|
The planet of Mightor and
the Herculoids was first colonized by humans long ago, so long ago that
nearly all evidence of it has been lost to time. This world is a
planet of dinosaur-like creatures and dragons... an a mysterious life-force
that the humans may have brought with them to this planet... |
|
This planet is somehow at
a crossroads of interstellar traffic. Perhaps it is not the only
inhabited planet in this star system, attracting unwanted attention to
this paleolithic world. |
|
I would also like to add
the Dino Boy character to the Mightor series. Instead of being sent
back in time on Earth, he is an Earth-boy who has been stranded on this
strange world. |

As far as the characterizations
go, I'd like to introduce other characters the same age as Sheera and Tor,
so that we can have love triangles and rivalries.
I might downplay the whole
little Rok character. I never liked Bat-mite.
I'd also like to to suggest
teaming up the big super-heroes into a team, including Mightor, Space Ghost,
Birdman, and maybe the Galaxy Trio. I don't know how Mightor will
look amongst civilized people, but I don't think that should prevent it
from happening. |
